Interesting video which examines gender dysphoria delivered by a psychiatrist with decades of experience in the issue.
Stephen Barrett Levine (born 1942) is an American psychiatrist known for his work in human sexuality, particularly sexual dysfunction and transsexualism. In this testimony, he states that gender dysphoria is the only psychiatric illness doctors are trying to cure with surgery, now that lobotomies have been discontinued. He believes transgender issues are caused by social issues. It’s a long testimony but very revealing and suggests that the politicization of the issue has – as usual – little to do with the science.
